The Waldorf Kindergarten is designed to foster the natural curiosity and wonder of the young child. It recreates the environment of a warm and loving home: rhythmically, repetitive and secure. Here, children do not just read literature or history, they hear stories, they write, sing, draw and paint it. They learn math and science by singing, clapping, chanting and discovering it. Hands-on classes such as handwork, woodworking or pottery help the children develop patience, precision and the self-motivation required for lifelong learning. Donna Himmelman is pleased to provide a safe and fun after care program from the ending of the school day until 5:15 pm. As children arrive at after care they will have time for a snack and outdoor play. During the afternoon there will be opportunities for craft projects, homework time and indoor games.
