Summer Arts Program 2008

Mondays - Fridays, 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
 

Age 6 - 12
 
Taught by professional artists, the summer arts program offers young artists an opportunity to get hands on experience using a variety of media and techniques.

Each day, children will have fun trying something different and developing new skills. They will get a chance to explore art-forms such as batik, painting, drawing, carving, sculpture, felting, print making, as well as movement, drama and giant puppetry with Wee Giant Theatre's Puppets.

Children should pack a healthy lunch and a snack, avoiding peanut butter. Please no candy or pop.
 

Children should wear comfortable clothes, suitable for making art, bring indoor shoes, and a change of clothes to compensate for changes in weather.

 A number of spaces are always kept open to allow visitors to join the class
 
 

 

If you require childcare from 2:30 to 5:15 pm,  it is available with at least one day advance notice. The cost is $5.00 per hour and offers a snack, craft making and free play time.
