Open House

The South Shore Waldorf School invites families, caregivers and educators to tour the school.

The Open House is a discovery opportunity for families who are wondering if their child(ren) would excel in a more focused, smaller academic environment.

Classrooms will be open for visiting from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Faculty members, staff and upper grade students will be available to answer questions throughout the school. Visitors will be able to view student work in the classrooms.

The South Shore Waldorf School offers education from Kindergarten to Grade 9 in small, friendly and inclusive classes. Because of the smaller class size, students and teachers develop closer and more focused relationships, allowing teachers to assess each student individually and provide an educational experience specific to each child’s academic ability and personal development.

Continuous assessment means no student ever fails or artificially moves ahead unprepared. Instead they are supported through the grade and into the next year by faculty who have a precise understanding of each child’s educational journey, where they stand, what they need, and how they will achieve academic goals.

Creative skills are integrated throughout the curriculum to emphasize development of problem solving and critical thinking skills. Waldorf students are learning how to learn, a skill that can transform their entire future.
