Camille Wilkins is the Senior Kindergarten teacher at South Shore Waldorf School. With decades of teaching art to all ages, Camille brings warmth and wisdom to this Waldorf-inspired camp.
Anime & Manga Camp
with Hunter Fournier
Ages 8-15
July 13-17, 9am to 4pm
All materials included.
Learn the art of making anime and manga. Hunter brings whimsical warmth and years of experience working with kids in the area of art design. Please pack a snack and lunch and bring clothes to spend some break time enjoying the summer weather.
Hunter is the Aftercare Director at the South Shore Waldorf School.
Moving Heavy Things Camp
with Ben Gallagher
Ages 8-15
July 20-24, 9am to 4pm

Explore humanity's fascination with moving heavy things. Work together to build a catapult, learn about levers and lifts, and experience the joy of smarts meets muscle meets ancient wisdom.
Dr. Ben Gallagher teaches grades 4 and 5, and music, at the South Shore Waldorf School. He's also an accomplished poet and passionate woodworker. He holds a PhD in Curriculum, Teaching & Learning with a focus on critical literacy and practitioner inquiry.

Creative Kindergarten Camp
Ages 4 - 7
July 06 to August 28, 9am to 4pm
A little paint on your fingers at the end of the day keeps the winter blues away. Your child will have time to create and explore a variety of creative projects throughout the week. If you'd like to send old but inspiring magazines or other creative supplies that your child loves and would like to share with their other camp friends please do and send us a quick email so that we know what to expect.
Bring a healthy lunch and snack, winter gear, slippers for indoors, blanket and/or pillow for story time, full change of clothes.

Up until 2 weeks prior to start date: $25 administration fee.
2 weeks or less: in the event the spot can be filled a $25 administration fee will apply. If the spot cannot be filled 100% of all fees apply.
PROkids provides financial assistance to children and youth from the Municipality of Lunenburg for positive sport and other activities, including summer camps for ages 0-18!
Soapbox Car Camp
with Lasse Erikson
Ages 8-15
July 27-31, 9am to 4pm

End your summer with the thrill of the race, and the satisfaction of building a car that can do it. Be involved with every step of the construction process, and finish your week with an exhilarating (but safe!) road race.
Lasse teaches grades 6 and 7, and math, at the South Shore Waldorf School. He has taught elementary, high school and adult learning classes. He is also a trained architect.
Photography & Bubbles Camp

Ages 8-15
August 4-7 (4 days), 9am to 4pm
A fun, creative summer camp where kids explore photography and see the world in new ways.
Students will learn the basics of lighting, composition, and portraiture through playful assignments, visual games, and daily photo challenges. We’ll spend most of our time exploring, being curious, and making photos.
Kids will also create their own bubble sticks and use them to make and photograph bubbles in imaginative ways.

Puppetry & Theatre Camp
with Moni Wilderman

August 10-14, 9am to 4pm
Step into a week of creativity, imagination, and festival fun!
Inspired by the magic of Wee Giant Theatre—loved by festival-goers for its fabulous giant puppets—children will explore:

Led by experienced Waldorf educator Monika Wildemann (Miss Moni), who is also the Artistic Director of Wee Giant Theatre.
Yoga Camp
with Jackie Camp
Ages 8-15
Aug 17-21, 9am to 4pm
Through breathwork, meditation and yoga, students will have the chance to slow down, recharge and reconnect. Mixing the joy of movement with the wonder of the outdoors, come join this special camp new to our SSWS lineup.
Jackie Camp is an experienced and wonder-filled yoga teacher who specialises in classes and retreats. She's also a regular substitute in our Kindergarten classes here at SSWS.
